July 2015 Birmingham Jazz & Blues Festival

This month I was invited to perform at Chung Ying Central as part of Birmingham International Jazz and Blues Festival, accompanied by an extremely talented and versatile rhythm section in the shape of John Hodgetts (keys), Wayne Matthews (bass) and Ian Beestin (drums).  The festival coincided with what would have been Billie Holiday’s 100th birthday so we decided to pay tribute to the Jazz great with a selection of songs Billie performed over her 30 year musical career.

March 2015 Album Release

Somewhat later than planned, my new album ‘Reverie’ is released, which has been over two years in the making. Originally I had set out to complete the project within twelve months … just a little under with my estimation! It’s here and I am so happy with it. Hope you will be too!

March 2015 Mother’s Day at The Style Bar

Mine was especially wonderful as not only was I treated to a meal, chocolate and flowers but I had a guest appearance at The Style Bar, the venue for Rugby’s monthly jazz jam. I sang to a very appreciative audience and was backed by a wonderful rhythm section and some excellent brass players. The day couldn’t have been any better!

June 2014 Jazz in the Park

A fabulous gig! We had a wonderful afternoon in the stunning  grounds of Brockencote Hall in Worcestershire. Renowned for its superb cuisine and excellent service, this traditional country house is set in 70 acres of tranquil parkland and dates back over 300 years.  It was a thoroughly enjoyable, relaxing gig. We played 2 sets of smooth jazz to a lovely audience and were looked after extremely well by the staff. Great place for foodies and lovers of jazz!
