About Sheila

Sheila is a UK based singer/songwriter with a style that draws upon jazz, blues, soul and folk influences.  She has received acclaim from audiences and critics alike on the strength of her live performances and songwriting and received rave reviews following her performances at The Festival of Song Cheltenham, Jazz Live Grimsby and Big Band Festival Aberdeenshire.

Sheila has established herself on the UK Jazz scene and enjoys collaborations with many of the UK’s top musicians to include Richard Jones, John Hodgetts, Neil Hunter, Mike Green, Wayne Matthews, Spencer Hedges, Dave Anderson, Ian Hill, Bryan Corbett to name a few.  Her band line-up ranges from a jazz piano or guitar duo up to a 17 piece big band.

Sheila has recorded two studio albums:

‘I Wish You Love 2013’ – Graham Dent, Steve Street, Mike Green, Andy Davey, David Williams

‘Reverie 2015’ – John Hodgetts, Adrian Litvinoff, Federico Girlando, Gary Barnacle, Ian Chalk, Si Hayden, Alan Wakeman.

Sheila is currently working on her third studio project, ‘Every Sunrise’.  The songs are Sheila’s own compositions and tell stories of  loss, self discovery, hope, gratitude, love and belief.  Sheila has released a selection of these songs in the form of a 5 track EP – ‘A Better Place’ which is  available as a CD or digital download here.

Sheila is looking forward to the release of the album later this year.
